The US Ambassador to The Gambia Sharon Cromer today paid a courtesy call on the Commission. Ambassador Cromer met with Executive Secretary Amadou Ceesay and Commissioners Yusupha .A. Kah and Abdou Touray. The Ambassador and GCCPC officials exchanged views on consumer welfare and market competitiveness. Executive Secretary Ceesay used the occasion to discuss areas of collaboration and support on the upcoming Africa Competition Forum to be hosted in Banjul in November 2023. The biennial synergy brings together competition authorities across the continent to map out ways and strategies for fostering competition in our markets. Ceesay also outlined key priority areas of the Commission in relation to the enhancement of consumer protection and tackling anti-competitive market practices.
